The 8-step process being currently used daily at Park Elementary was developed by Dr. Anderson. The program is designed to improve student comprehension and performance. The program has been adjusted to meet the needs of our students based on current data. Three days a week, a particular question or word is presented on the PA system and discussed in all classrooms (K – 4). Many of the questions are represented in Venn diagrams (Compare & Contrast) on various charts and posted throughout the building. The other two days have been dedicated this year to Sustained Silent Reading that will enable our students to succeed in the Accelerated Reading (AR) Program at Park Elementary School.
