Basic Spreadsheet and Database Skills Students will learn to manipulate numbers and data in a spreadsheet form. They will learn to create charts and graphics from numerical data. They will learn to manipulate data in a database, create forms, and print reports. |

Students will use HTML tags and web authorized software, including Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and JavaScript's to create web pages. They will also be introduced to Adobe Fireworks CS4 and Cascading Style Sheets for graphic design. |

This is an advanced word processing course. It will prepare students to produce documents that combine text, graphics, illustrations, and photographs. Students will produce flyers, brochures, newsletters, signs, and business forms. |

Computerized aided drafting is an excellent course for any student at Claymont High School. Industry and manufacturing utilize CAD skills extensively. Most of the drawing techniques that industry and higher technical learning demands are covered in this course. Three-view, isometric drawing, dimensions, section views, auxiliary views, geometric construction, etc. are aspects of this course. This course is highly valuable for students entering the fields of architecture, industrial design, or any industrial area. |

This course is a continuation of CAD I. All of the skills learned in CAD I will be expanded in this course. Most of the techniques that industry and high technical learning demands are covered in this course. Some architectural drawings will be covered in this class. |

This course is designed to provide an appreciation of the video industry. Digital Video Editing software and PhotoShop will be used extensively in this class. Video and digital cameras and a portable video studio will also be used. Students must be willing and able to video tape some school events after school hours. |

This course is designed to provide students an appreciation of the news industry. Digital video cameras and the portable studio will be used to give students an understanding of how news is produced. Students will edit using digital video software. Knowledge of Photoshop is recommended, but not required. Students who take this class must be willing to appear on camera when necessary. |

Tech. Prep (Interactive Media) Students training in the area of interactive multi-media will become competent in creating, designing, and producing interactive multi-media products and services. This program of study emphasizes the development of digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media. Students will use multi-media technology to develop products/programs for business, training, entertainment, communication and marketing. Essential skill areas include, but are not limited to: Animation, Media Design, Interactive Digital Media, GUI Interfaces, Instructional Application, Application Design, Authoring Languages, Audio/Visual Production Digital Imaging. |
