The student will develop basic speaking, listening, reading and writing skills related to everyday skills related to everyday life in a French-speaking country. the student will gain an awareness of contemporary life in France and the francophone world. Regular attendance is required for success in this course. Classroom participation is required. |
French II |
This class will further the student's ability to function in everyday situations in the French-speaking world. Students will increase their proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing, and will gain a deeper understanding of the culture of the French-speaking world. Classroom participation and good attendance are expected. |
French III |
This class will develop increasingly complex speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, with communication as the ultimate goal. Students will further develop an appreciation and understanding of the cultures of French-speaking countries. Classroom participation and good attendance are expected. |
French IV |
This class is a continuation of French III. The student will continue to develop communication skills through more complex reading, writing, listening and speaking activities. Students will analyze, compare and discuss the cultural norms of French-speaking countries. There will be frequent homework and quizzes, as well as chapter tests. Classroom participation and good attendance are expected. |
